When sending something to Nick, there are two very important things to keep in mind.
One: Be patient. The distance from where you are to where Nick is can be pretty far, so give it a bit. Also, Nick is plenty busy getting to the other kind folk who may have asked for an autograph, or equivilant sort. Nick will eventually sit down, open your letter, and read what you have written. It just takes time.
Two: Your letter or package will be opened before Nick actually reads it. This is for security reasons, and as such should be expected. So if you did in fact not send anything questionable, then there won't be an issue.
Three: Be patient. Good things come to those who wait.
